1880
The year in which the smithy, at the time known under the Brink family name, was first mentioned. A farrier’s work was supplemented by the typical village blacksmith tasks in its range of services.
1918
Master blacksmith and farrier Franz Brink managed the company from 1918 onwards.
1954
Master blacksmith and farrier Alfons Riepenhausen married into the family business. Going forward, the company was managed by Franz and his son-in-law Alfons. The company was also renamed from Brink to BRIRI in the scope of this, the name that it bears to this day.
1960
BRIRI added the sale of “Kramer” tractors, feed mixers, trailers, and binding mowers to its service range from here onwards.
1967
After initially focusing solely on the sale of agricultural machinery, the company now also added repair work and manufacture of agricultural machinery to its range. Bale conveyors were manufactured and mixing plants were installed as well.
1978
Following some initial one-off productions, slurry tankers eventually became part of the production range from the end of the 1970s onwards. This year gave birth to the specialist for organic fertilisation as it still exists today.
1990
Master agricultural machinery mechanic Franz-Josef Riepenhausen takes over the management of the company with its 25 people at this point. The first sweepers left the factory alongside slurry tankers from 1990 onwards.
1998
BRIRI exhibits at “Euro Tier”, its first international trade fair.
2000
The product range now includes manufacture of trenchers, sweepers, and slurry tankers with slurry spreaders and slurry agitators. This year saw the construction of the company’s first silo transport trailer.
2004
BRIRI starts producing the Kemper manure and compost spreaders. Customers are now able to choose from a wide range of organic fertilisation products.
2008
Markus Riepenhausen, a graduate industrial engineer (Dipl. Wirtschaftsingenieur (FH)), joins the company and the management team with his father Franz-Josef.
2009
After BRIRI took over production of Kemper spreaders in 2004, the company is now also selling spare parts for these vehicles. The items in stock reach back all the way to the 1960s.
2011
BRIRI adds slurry tankers to its product range of vehicles for slurry spreading.
2012
Production capacities are reaching their limits. A new assembly hall with a footprint of 720 sqm is built. The total production area now equals 10,000 sqm.
2016
BRIRI now focuses on development and manufacture of machines for the areas of slurry and spreading technology due to the increasingly complex demands on our agriculture. BRIRI is a specialist in organic fertilisation and will continue to support its customers with sophisticated solutions in future.
2017
