Control technology / precision farming
BUS / ISOBUS control unit
An ISOBUS control unit permits manufacturer-independent communication between the tractor, slurry tanker, and implement. Various farm management systems can also be used to transmit application maps, amongst other things. Control/operation uses soft pad or touchscreen terminals. An ISOBUS-capable joystick is optionally available.
Terminal options
Operating screen and function
All slurry-technology vehicles can be ISOBUS-operated. (TC-UT) The tractor’s own terminal or an external ISOBUS terminal can be used for this. An AUX-N joystick (TC-AUX-N) further improves operating convenience.
Both slurry and spreading technology can fertilise based on application maps (TC-GEO). The slurry tanker’s NIR sensor permits dispensing of the organic fertiliser based on its N/A/P/K content.
The implements attached to the slurry tanker can be controlled fully automatically with the Sectioncontrol unit to prevent both over- and under-fertilisation. Order data can be received via the Agrirouter and returned to the office after processing.
Precision Farming
NIR-Sensor
Near infrared sensors (NIR sensors) will significantly improve determination of nutrients in farm fertilisers.
NIR sensors will record the ingredients in real time and enable demand-based fertilisation in compliance with legal requirements while considering specified target values.
NIR sensors are available from John Deere and Topcon. The interfaces for both sensors are integrated into the BRIRI-ISOBUS control unit.
Fertilising specific areas
It is possible to implement partial area-specific fertilisation in combination with an ISOBUS control unit and the associated TC-GEO activation system.
Section-specific fertilisation is an important aspect of precision farming. The differences in soil and growth within an area are considered in this fertilisation method. The goal is applying the determined nutrients in the right place at the right time and in the right quantity.
Section Control
An automatic section control unit is used to protect uneven sections from partial over-fertilisation. Section overlap will reduce significantly if individual segments are switched off. Up to 24 sections can be controlled this way.
